IMPORTANT NOTE IF UPGRADING: 1.5.2 NEMS Migrator is experiencing issues importing older backup.nems files. This is being worked on and a patch will be issued soon. If you are upgrading, please note you may experience issues. Please hang tight for Build 2 or the update patch. New users / new deployments should not be impacted.
Recommended: It goes without saying the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8 GB board is the best possible system for a Raspberry Pi-based NEMS Server. That said, these boards have enough RAM and CPU power to run NEMS Linux reliably:

Supported Accessories: These optional accessories are supported.
Omzlo's PiWatcher Automatically power-cycle your NEMS server if your Raspberry Pi locks up.
Omzlo's PiVoyager Provides exactly the same watchdog feature as the PiWatcher, but adds a battery backup to keep your Raspberry Pi running stable even during power outages.
TEMPer thermal and humidity sensors Monitor your server room's ambient temperature and relative humidity. NEMS Linux 1.5.2 includes sample check commands in the demo config.
Supported, but not optimal: These boards may suffer from poor performance due to lack of available RAM and/or CPU power. WiFi is not recommended for NEMS Linux servers, though it is supported.
Some features will be turned off by default to improve performance, but may be enabled via NEMS SST. Remember that the Pi 3 is roughly twice as powerful as the Pi 2. For best performance in the Raspberry Pi lineup, choose a Raspberry Pi 3 or higher.

Raspberry Pi devices are very affordable, and using the NEMS Linux image, you simply buy the device, download the image file (below), “burn” the image to the Micro SD card, and boot it up.
